Fracture Space is a 3D instrument that allows large numbers of simultaneous sounds to be organized as a sound particle system in a 3D audio environment in real-time.
In the Fracture Space synthesis process, a generator creates audio particles and determines the individual position and direction of movement of each individual particle.
Each particle is assigned an audio sample from a list and its sound properties are modulated. The acoustics of the environment are then calculated and the scene is recorded from a virtual listening position. All parameters of the audio sample, the physics engine, and the generator can be changed in real-time.
